Humanity is traversing a technological paradigm shift.
We are trying to catch a waterfall of information with a teacup!
Technological and Informational Tipping Point
We are reaching technological and informational overload. We are being bombarded with information faster than we can process it, let alone store it. There is a growing bottleneck of information to process and an enormous amount of “run-off” information.
“Run-off” information is the information that is lost due to not even being processed after discovery. This is due to overload on systems for review and record.
Elicit Unveiling 2025
There is simply too much data to review!
Check out this article in The Guardian:
We have misused and misapplied technology many times in the past. It will be difficult to to contain it, let alone harness this ever-increasing new data.
Yet, we have to start somewhere.
Merriam Webster defines technology as the practical application of knowledge especially in a particular area. Technology in all areas is evolving so fast that we will soon be unable to keep it contained. What once we thought impossible, will become the reality.
META AI has announced a real time language translator, as Venture Beat explains in an article entitled: Meta AI unveils ‘Seamless’ translator for real-time communication across languages.
Humans are harnessing the power of social media platforms to
“crowd speak”. Through political, social and religious upheavals in this country and other countries, we are witnessing power in numbers.
Through application of this ever-growing, exponentially increasing technology, we will soon have greater capabilities than we can even imagine. These capabilities will be a double-edged sword.
Falsification of audio and video via AI platforms is challenging our outdated processes with the click of a mouse. Online crowd collaborations are on a collision course with archaic institutions and procedures.
Pandora’s Box
We will inevitably destroy ourselves unless we can get a grip on where we are. We will inevitably destroy ourselves unless we can harness the path in which we are headed.
The irony is that the only way to contain technology is through technology, or through destruction of said technology.
In the last few centuries, the access to knowledge through technology has exponentially increased. With the rise of AI in the last few years, the knowledge will only come faster. We are being bombarded by so much new information and technology that we are not psychologically mature enough to understand. All disciplines have produced new and important discoveries, but the information is only coming in faster and faster! We are now beginning to visualize where this new era will take us.

The introduction of GROK, Claude and other AI platforms onto the world scene will be a catalyst for change. It will be a catalyst for change as the internet was a catalyst for world change in the 90’s. It will be a catalyst for change as social media is a catalyst right now.
AI will revolutionize technology and the way we compute. It will usher in new medical advances that will allow us to further evolve and adapt. It will also be a zeitgeist of the AGI age.
It will have the same, or in some cases more influence over human behaviors as humans have.

Sam Altman and others have asked for regulation of the AI industry because of several alarming issues.
These issues are similar to the issues that I point out on this page below.
We are not capable of handling technology in the most responsible manner. The world has seen how we have misused it in the past. We do not yet know quite how to apply technology efficiently or effectively.
Buyer Beware
Guiding safe passage through this technology explosion is imperative.
We must harness it in a manner that benefits us and does not lead to our demise.
Universal agreements need to be put in place.

As we are becoming more technologically advanced, many of the darker tunnels of technology have emerged. Hacking, cyber warfare, ransomware, dark web and deep fakes glimpse an eerie foreshadowing of what is still yet to come.
We are approaching the singularity. If we can’t control or harness technology or its applications, we lose!

Dark Corners
AI is one aspect of technology that has to be handled and guided with extreme mindfulness. We are creating IoT and overcoming obstacles to gain milestone advances and discoveries. At the same time, we are also becoming a world filled with weapons of mass destruction. Nuclear arsenals, drone armies, false media and cyberwar capabilities will inevitably go into the wrong hands. It is only a matter of time.
Evolution2
Collectively, we are gathering knowledge at an exponentially increasing rate. The aspects of technology that allow us to continually communicate information and distribute knowledge is evolving.
Calling All Humans!
Humans, as a socially and morally responsible race on the other hand, have not evolved quick enough. We are not adapting to this new age as fast as the technology itself is evolving. With the advances alone the last century, we have only learned that there is still much to learn. Our recent achievements have somehow gotten away from us. Access to nuclear fusion is becoming more prevalent. Will it be used for good?
This increased access to knowledge has also caused major mishandling of information. It has caused increased theft of information and unintended loss of information, and the acceptance of misinformation.

We, ourselves, will most certainly get “lost in translation” if we fail to adapt.
Dr. Lance B. Eliot wrote an article in Forbes Magazine:
John Nosta wrote an article that was published in Psychology Today.
His article asks the question, “Are we on the cusp of a revolution that challenges the very essence of our uniqueness?”

Will AI Generated Research Harm the Evolution of Science?
AI generated research is being pumped out faster than we can process it.
Check out the below article from The Guardian.
Knowledge Bottleneck
Vetting of information is one of the most important things we will need to get a handle on.
It is imperative that we engineer more efficient ways to process information.
Distribution channels and security of vetted knowledge will need to be established. It is the wild west of AI right now.
Only the dedication to collaborative and meaningful research to harness this explosion of knowledge will allow us to adapt to this new age.
We must treat this ever-expanding pool of aggregate knowledge with smarter, more efficient and secure measures.
If we do nothing, we are destined to succumb to the unveiling.
Fortunately, we are working on make computing more efficient, faster and less costly.
Check out this article in PHYS.org about how magnets can be used to multiply frequencies and decrease the amount of energy needed to “run” things. This discovery will lead to the creation of more efficient digital technologies (not to mention help save the planet).
https://phys.org/news/2022-03-physicists-frequencies-easily-special-circuitry.html
In the long term we need to engineer better systems to harness this aggregate knowledge. We need to efficiently process all the new information.
We must apply it in ways that will ensure our adaptation!
Google’s former CEO Eric Schmidt shares: “This is how AI will transform the way science gets done” article in MIT Technology in Review.
https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/07/05/1075865/eric-schmidt-ai-will-transform-science
During humanity’s tipping point, we must not ultimately rely on AI. We must always trust in human mental capacity and drive to survive. If we come to rely on AI, we would not survive technological destruction. An EMP or CME would wipe out our civilization if we get too dependent upon on AI for survival.
We are continuously learning more about our brains and bodies and making marvelous medical discoveries!
John Nosta of Nosta Lab wrote an article in Psychology Today that talks about AI and the Erosion of Human Cognition.
Nosta Lab’s vision is to drive innovation during humanity’s tipping point.
Light at the End of the Tunnel
Technological advances will allow us to better understand the brain.
These advances will allow us to understand more about brain capacity and how we can harness more brain power.
Check out the below article in Scientific American about how peoples’ brain waves synchronize when interacting.

This technology may be used as a tool to gain an understanding of how peoples’ magnetic field affects their surroundings. This magnetic field affects not only their surroundings, but also other people.
Medical advancements will increase longevity.
Scientists have discovered a way to measure if two magnetic fields correlate and interact on the tiniest of scales. This would not be possible without quantum sensors, a recent invention. This new technology will lead to accurately pinpointing disease. Check out the article below in TechXplore:

So, it would seem that we really are at a very important crossroads. One path will destroy us, and one will take us into the future of the evolution of our species. It will be a very difficult traverse through the bottleneck!
